ULL Symphony to perform with guest artists

LAFAYETTE The UL-Lafayette Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Michael Blaney will present a free concert featuring Respighi’s “The Pines of Rome” plus guest string performers on Saturday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Angelle Hall Auditorium.

Over 80 pre-college string players from throughout Louisiana will join forces with the UL-Lafayette Symphony to perform “For the Star of County Down” and “Palladio”. Student soloist Edward Muller will be featured in Gronhahl’s “Concerto for Trombone and Orchestra”. The evening will conclude with Respighi’s orchestral masterpiece “The Pines of Rome”.
