The Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles is pleased to announce the re-opening of the office located at 100 Veterans Boulevard near the Pontchartrain Expressway in New Orleans.

The new office is located at the site of the former office destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

This new office will service the New Orleans and East Bank areas of Jefferson Parish. It features the latest technology in motor vehicle services and is staffed with fully trained customer service agents to assist customers with all of their motor vehicle needs including driver’s license and identification card issuance and renewals, road skills testing, reinstatement, vehicle registration issuance and renewals.

OMV Commissioner Stephen Campbell stated, “He is extremely proud to re-open a location that will service customers of both Orleans and Jefferson parish. This is our first step in providing additional services for the customers that have been impacted by Hurricane Katrina. Along with Kenner city officials, I have been coordinating the opening of an express location in Kenner.”

In addition, planning has commenced with the assistance of State Legislators and City officials to provide an express location in the New Orleans East.

Commissioner Campbell would like to remind everyone that many services are provided via our website www.expresslane.org.

This is offered as a convenience to our customers. We will continue to explore ways to provide added services via the internet to prevent customers from having to actually come into a local field office location.
