Secretary of State Tom Schedler is encouraging all Louisianians eligible to vote in the Saturday, Dec. 8, election to vote early. Early voting began Saturday, Nov. 24, and continues through Saturday, Dec. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, excluding Sunday, Nov. 25.

“We saw a very high voter turnout of 67 percent during the Presidential Election in November and I hope registered voters will remain interested and engaged in our democratic process” said Secretary of State Tom Schedler. “Your vote counts in EVERY election, even those that aren’t as high profile.  We saw several races and propositions that were decided by less than ten votes,” Schedler said. “Early voting is a great convenience if you anticipate being busy or out of town on Saturday, Dec. 8.”

Citizens who want to vote early may do so in person at their parish Registrar of Voters’ Office or at other designated locations.
