PRIDE - Northeast struggled to during the regular season with a 3-7 record, but Friday's 52-20 win over Varnado was the most important victory of the year as the Vikings earned a playoff berth.

No. 31 Northeast (3-7, 1-3) drew a rematch with district rival No. 2 Redemptorist (8-1,3-1) in the bi-district round of the Class 3-A playoffs.

In week nine of the season, the Wolves rolled to a 49-6 win over Northeast as Jeremy Hill gained 211 yards on 15 carries and scored five touchdowns. Northeast's only score came in a 65-yard fumble return in the first quarter.

No statistics or game information were available from the Northeast-Varnado game.

Other teams who earned playoff spots include Class 3-A No.22 McMain (7-3) at No. 11 West Feliciana (6-4) and in Class 5-A, No. 22 Assumption (7-3) at Zachary (8-2).
