The Zachary High Track season is off and running!

The Bronco track teams have already participated in two recent indoor track meets, and will compete in the upcoming Indoor State Championships on Saturday, Feb. 23.

Many members of both the boys and girls track teams have qualified for the Indoor Sate meet.

The Lady Broncos who qualified are: Jennifer Brown, Nijah Lain, Tia Coleman, Aisha Harbor, LaQuea Schiele, ShaQuea Schiele, Terri Dawson and Dakota Williams.

The Bronco boys who qualified are: Donald Gage, Jessie Cole, Sharod Banks, Diyondre Henry, Kentrell Fisher, Roderick Johnson, Bryan Bradford and Darryl Anderson.

The outdoor track season begins Tuesday, Feb. 26, with the Tip-Off Meet at ZHS in Bronco Stadium.

On Friday, Mar. 8, the 4th Annual LA Farm Bureau Insurance Bronco Relays will also be hosted at Zachary High.

Area schools expected to compete in either of the meets include West Feliciana, Northeast, Baker, Scotlandville, Port Allen, Southern Lab, Central and Live Oak.

Other teams from around the region scheduled to attend include St. Amant, Parkveiw Baptist and Woodlawn.

Field events begin at 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 26 and Mar. 8 - running events began at 5:30 p.m.
