The Louisiana Art and Artist Guild’s Iberville Chapter hosted their 2012 Summer Art Show June 8-10 at the Chapter’s Gallery in Rosedale, where 73 paintings were exhibited in the 2012 Summer Art Show. The First Place Adult Division was awarded to artist Carol Oufnac Mahan, of Zachary, for her water color piece Hospitality.

The Juried Summer Show was judged by local artist and teacher Sandra Keller.

Mahan is a south Louisiana native born in Baton Rouge, where she attended elementary and high school, and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1991 from Louisiana State University. Mahan is a member of the Zachary Artist Guild and Louisiana Art and Artist Guild. The artist currently resides in Zachary with her husband and three children.
