A retired schoolteacher with the West Feliciana Parish school system, she died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at her home. She was 82 and a lifelong resident of St. Francisville. Visiting at Grace Episcopal Church, St. Francisville, Friday, Oct. 29, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. She is survived by her husband, P. Morris Bennett; a daughter, Roberta A. Barrow; son, Emmette E. Barrow and wife Emily B. Barrow; sister, Laura H. Distefano; and three grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Barrow, Robert Ellason Barrow and Eliza Ann Barrow. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmette A. Harvey and Laura W. Harvey; and first husband, Robert Ellason Barrow. Pallbearers will be David Beauchamp, Kevin Beauchamp, Russell Beauchamp, Bertrand H. Barrow Jr., Louie Cartere and Andrew J. D'Aquilla. Honorary pallbearers are J.W. Bennett, Charles Bennett, Sherwood Bennett, Bertrand Babers, W.H. Hall, Kenneth Yoes, Fred Westphal and Edward I. Daniel. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Tim Lindsey and staff, our caregivers, Claudette and Jeanie, and Southern Care Hospice.
