A native of Clinton, he died at age 92 on Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, in Detroit where he resided since 1948. He was the husband of Pearl Johnson Davis for 71 years. Survived by a daughter, Deloris Traylor; grandson, Derrick Smith and spouse Tina; a great-granddaughter; great-great-grandson; a sister, Mary Key; and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his son, Leroy Davis Jr. Religious service at Corinthian Baptist Church in Detroit on Monday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. Arrangements by Barksdale Funeral Home, 1120 E. State Fair St., Detroit, MI 48203.
