The Chamber of Commerce held their annual Zachary Christmas Parade Saturday, Dec. 11, following Friday night's Open House celebration.

Attendance for the parade was huge as citizens and parade-lovers lined the streets for the 82 parade entrants that rolled down Main Street under cloudy but dry skies.

The theme for this year's Christmas parade was "Christmas Around the World".

The parade consisted of floats, marchers or riders from local businesses, organizations, clubs, churches, horses, school groups, associations and more!

The parade was televised with commentators Billy Kline and Lisa Metcalfe doing a terrific job. Air dates and times for the parade will be announced soon.

This year's judges were Jill McGraw of The Zachary Business & Real Estate Journal; Daniel Duggan of The Zachary Post and Stacy Gill of The Zachary Plainsman and ZacharyToday.com.

Cash prizes are awarded to the winners in four categories: Best Overall Theme, Best Float, Best Marchers and Best Riders.

This year's Christmas parade winners are:

Best Float - Keller Williams

Best Overall Theme - Guaranty Bank

Best Marchers - Zachary Area French Preservation Club

Best Riders - Northwestern Middle School Drama Club for "Annie"

Congratulations to the winners and ALL the contestants who did a great job with their floats this year!
