Zachary High cheer squad wins bid for Nationals

The Zachary High School competition cheer squad competed with Universal Cheer Association, the number one cheer organization in the world, at Regionals Saturday, Dec. 4, in Geismar. The team won second place in the large co-ed division.

They also competed with two other nationally recognized cheer squads, Shaw and Brother Martin. Members of the the ZHS cheer squad were only six points away from defeating Brother Martin, who is ranked third in the nation!

The ZHS squad won a bid to compete at nationals Feb. 10 - 15 at Disney World in Orlando.
