The Zachary High School Bronco soccer team had a strong third-place finish in district to end the season with a final record of 9 - 3.

The Broncos were ranked #20 in the state at the end of the regular season and in the first round of playoff games, they upset 13th ranked Grace King High School from New Orleans 2-1. They lost to fourth-ranked Dutchtown, however, in round two of the Regional playoffs on Thursday, Feb. 10.

The top goal scorer for the season was senior forward Nathan Richardson with a total of 16 goals for the season.

All-District honors went to four players from the ZHS Boys Soccer team. These players are nominated and selected by all of the coaches of the teams in the 5-5A district.

Broncos named to the All-District first team: senior forward Nathan Richardson and junior offensive mid-fielder Brandon Delhom. All-District second team honors went to junior forward Lije Wojohn and sophomore center defender Durrell Joseph.

The ZHS Broncos had four seniors on the team this year who were recognized Jan. 31 for Senior Night. Bronco senior soccer players are Nathan Richardson, Muhammad Ibrahim, Josh Nzewi and Jeremy Yantis.

The Zachary High Bronco soccer team was led by Head Coach Scott Delhom and Assistant Coach Kyle Callihan.
