The American Cancer Society's Baker/Zachary Relay for Life event is scheduled for Saturday, April 16, and will be different than the past Relay for Life events held in Zachary, said local Relay co-chair, Tamara Vines. Beginning with a location change, this year's Relay for Life will be held at the new BREC Zachary Community Park, where phase one has just been completed. Groups, families, friends, businesses or any type of combination is invited to form a team and walk. Sponsorship packages are also available for many different financial levels. Vines said this year will feature a dog show, live music, volleyball and softball tournaments, food, games, entertainment, birthday recognition, the traditional survivor's walk on the park's new paved path and much more.
