A resident of Baker and a native of Baton Rouge, Lori Miller Brashier died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, as a result of cancer and a long battle with lupus. She was born Feb. 14, 1962. Visitation at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, on Thursday, April 28, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation at Redwood Baptist Church, Slaughter, on Friday, April 29, from 9 a.m. until services at 10 a.m., conducted by Dr. Reggie Bridges. Burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Harold Wayne Brashier; daughter, Crystal Lynn Burritt and her husband, Jacob Andrew Burritt, of Englewood, Fla.; father, Fred Miller and his wife, Kathy, of Baton Rouge; mother, Nelda Stanley and her husband, Bill, of Hideaway, Texas; grandfather, Dudley Babin and his wife, Jeanie, of Baton Rouge; mother-in-law, Beverly Brashier; sisters, Sheri Lyn Miller, of Denton, Texas, and Shannon Culotta, of Plaucheville; and two grandchildren, Kelli Louise Martin and Paris Rae Webb. She is also survived by many uncles, aunts, and cousins. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cassi Brashier; grandmother, Lela Ellen Babin; grandfather, Willie Mizell; and grandparents, Hazelle Millburn and Ralph F. Miller Sr. Pallbearers will be Troy Simoneaux, Daniel Bailey, Jake Bailey, Kaleb Shows, Jason Bryant, John Babin and Michael Babin. She loved her family, friends and caring for her two grandchildren.
