Ann Hope Browne, 54, an Elyria native and sister of LSU head football coach Les Miles, died Friday, April 22, in a tragic automobile accident in Addis. Browne leaves behind two daughters - Jessie and Katie. Katie is a junior at Zachary High School, and Jessie is a freshman at Southeastern Louisiana.

A fund benefitting the daughters of Ann Hope Browne has been established. Friends of the family are asking that donations be made to the Ann Hope Browne Memorial Fund and sent to the Hancock Bank located at 2600 Citiplace, Baton Rouge, LA, 70808. Please make all donations to the attention of Bryant Moore/Anne Hope Browne Memorial Fund.

There will also be a pastalaya dinner benefitting the Ann Hope Browne Memorial Fund on Wednesday, May 18, from 5-7 p.m. at ZHS in Bronco Stadium. The pastalaya benefit will coincide with the ZHS Red and White Spring football game. Please come out to support these two events.

A raffle ticket sale for a home security system, valued at $5,000 and includes installation, will also be given away. Tickets are $5. All proceeds will benefit the Ann Hope Browne Memorial Fund. Tickets can be purchased from Zachary High School athletes or at the above-mentioned ZHS fundraisers. You can also contact Robbie Yellott for tickets by emailing robert.yellott@zacharyschools.org. The drawing for the home security system will be held Monday, June 6.
