The Broncos hosted the Tigers from Thibodaux Sept. 9 and walked away with their third win of the season at 41 - 26.
The Zachary Broncos were down one point (13-14) by the Thibodaux Tigers going into the half, but came back blazing in the third-quarter with some amazing back-to-back plays and rushed for 162 of its 263 yards.
Runningback Ron Pennington helped lead his teammates with 19 carries for 163 yards and a touchdown.
Ladarrius Vessell scored on a 13-yard run to score a TD for the Broncos making the score 20-14, followed by an amazing catch by quarterback Mason Pace with a 16-yard pass from Vessell in the endzone pushing the Broncos ahead to a 27-14 lead.
Vessell carried nine times for 53 yards and caught four passes for 37 yards.
Boston Scott scored on a six-yard run giving Zachary an 8-point lead over THS with a score of 34 -26.
Pace threw a 25-yard pass to Vessell in the fourth shutting down the Tigers, 41 - 26.
The Broncos completed the game with 387 total yards and outplayed Thibodaux 253-123 in the second half.
ZHS, now 3 -0, won in the jamboree season opener 21 - 0 against Baker High and defeated Dale Weiner and his Catholic High Bears in a thrilling 29 -22 victory in Olympia Stadium on Sept. 2.
Zachary looks to make it 4 -0 on Friday, Sept. 16, as they host the East Feliciana Tigers at home.
