On Saturday, Dec. 3, at 10 a.m., the annual South Baton Rouge “A White Christmas” Parade will roll!!! The parade route will start at McKinley High School.
Southern University Chancellor James Llorens will serve as the Grand Marshall for the parade this year.
“Christmas, in my opinion, is the best time of the year. Celebrating together as a community in the spirit of giving is one main goal for this annual event," said Councilwoman Tara Wicker. "We invite everyone to come out and enjoy our White Christmas celebration. Merry Christmas and remember to wear your white."
"This is indeed a wonderful event for our community, and I am extremely pleased to sponsor it alone with Councilwoman Wicker," said State Representative Patricia Smith. "We look forward to the participation of our residents, children of South Baton Rouge and others, as we celebrate this holiday season."
Anyone wishing to make financial contributions to help cover expenses, should contact State Representative Smith’s office at 342-7106 or Councilwoman Wicker at 389-5140.
