BREC and the SBR Christmas Parade committee host South Baton Rouge - A White Christmas parade

The Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge and the SBR Christmas Parade Committee celebrates the holiday season Saturday, Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. with the South Baton Rouge Christmas Parade entitled "South Baton Rouge: A White Christmas."

Senator Pat Smith and Councilwoman Tara Wicker proudly cosponsor this event. This seven-mile parade begins at McKinley High School, 800 East McKinley Street, and travels down Thomas Delpit Drive to Terrace Street.

The parade then turns right on Terrace Street and travels to Eddie Robinson Sr. Drive where it will turn right on Eddie Robinson Drive and travel down to Washington Street, make a right, and travel down to Tennessee Street.

Once the parade reaches Tennessee Street, it will take a left and travel back to McKinley High School for disbursement.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Floats will gather behind McKinley High School.
