Zachary's annual Christmas Parade rolled Saturday, Dec. 10, down Main Street under beautiful skies. Citizens lined the street to cheer on their favorite floats, marchers and riders.

This year's theme was " A Christmas Back in Time" and Cox Metro 21 filmed the event which will air later this month. Times to be announced.

Announcers Billy Kline and Sharon Phillips emceed the parade and judges Daniel Duggan of the Zachary Post; Jill McGraw of Business Journal NORTH; and Stacy Gill of the Zachary Plainsman News, chose the following winners:

BEST FLOAT - Bank of Zachary

BEST THEME - Superior Ford, Zachary

BEST MARCHERS - The Children's Moving Company

BEST RIDERS - Northwestern Middle School's Drama Department performing "Grease"

The judges felt two other participants deserve mentioning: The Zachary Police Department Cadets and their "arrest" was a favorite with the parade watchers, as was crowd pleaser Georgia Pacific.
