The West Baton Rouge Museum has an exhibit of work by members of the Associated Women in the Arts (AWA) which will run from Jan. 14 - March 11.

This collection was inspired by the historic highway that traverses the great state of Louisiana. The exhibit will also help kick off the Lousiana State Bicentennial (1912-2012).

An opening reception, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14 from 2 - 4 p.m. at the West Baton Rouge Parish Museum, 845 North Jefferson Ave, in Port Allen.

The painting by Janice Evans entitled "Invitation" will be one of many paintings on exhibit.
