Ricky was born October 8, 1960, and passed away on December 9, 2011. He was 51 and a native of Zachary.

Ricky was a hard-working man. He worked for Trade Construction on Joor Road for four years. He loved to weld and was a welding veteran for over 30 years.

Ricky was also an avid drag racer. He raced at State Captial Raceway in Erwinville where he placed and won many races.

Ricky was a loving husband and father, as well as a wonderful stepfather and grandfather. He was the best son parents could ask for.

Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., in Zachary, on Sunday December 11, 2011, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and continue on Monday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Service conducted by Rev. Danny Grieg. The Christian Bikers Association will lead the funeral procession from Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary to Milldale Baptist Church where he will be laid to rest.

It was Ricky's request to have his biker friends join in the

procession. He was also a member of the International Hot Rod Association.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Holley Kirby Lipscomb; his parents, Wilton and Peggy Peairs Lipscomb; brother, Ken; and wife Angie Cormier Lipscomb; sons, Wilton Richard "Rick" Lipscomb III and Josh Lipscomb; step-daughters, Angel and Beth Hargrave; grandsons, Joshua and Dustin; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father in law, John Russel Kirby; and cousin, Burt Lipscomb.

Pallbearers will be Brian Lipscomb, Travis Lipscomb, Kade Lipscomb, Lee Nettles, Jerry Cooper, Arson Kirkland, Ricky Cummings, Bob Kelly, Len Kelly and Brian Dowling.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Aaron Cormier, Allen Cormier, Evan Lipscomb, Ethan Lipscomb, Todd "Chico" Ebert, Taylor Whittington and T.E. Wascom.
