Lane CEO Randy Olson saw the need for a place to assist people overwhelmed with life and everyday issues ranging from depression and aggression to bipolar and eating disorders, and Behavioral Health Services was born.
"Life can be stressful and overwhelming, and we're all about helping others change the things that are hindering their daily lives," said Burns-Dempsey. "A healthy mind is a happy mind." Marchand explained the three transitions those facing behavioral health issues may experience: in-patient, partial hospitalization or intensive out-patient, depending on the health issue and severity - Behavioral Health Services is an intensive out-patient center or IOP.
Marchand said Behavioral Health Services will help teens 18 - 19, adults or the elderly in Zachary and surrounding communities with their behavioral issues or find them the right care.
"We are also dedicated to helping you identify your needs and get you to the right source, if we're not it," said Marchand.
The center's team of doctors, nurses, clinicians and therapists all focus on a personalized treatment plan which may include psychotherapy, group therapy or medication.
"Each person's life is different and so is their treatment plan," Marchand said.
Behavioral Health Services will be expanding to Baker in the upcoming months.
