The 2nd annual Zachary Police Explorers Safety Festival will be held Saturday, May 5, from 5 - 9 p.m. behind the Zachary Police Department, 4510 Main St.

The safety festival will include: a Louisiana K9 Memorial, representatives from the Concerns of Police Survivors Organization, Zachary Police Chief David McDavid and other officers in a dunk tank, the Zachary Fire Department's smoke house, the Baton Rouge PD's impaired driving simulator and EBRSO child safety I.D. kits.

Other festival features include S.W.A.T. vehicles, police car and motorcycle show, space walk, live music, free drinks provided by Coca Cola and jambalaya dinners.

A raffle featuring gift cards to local Zachary businesses will be held, as well as giveaways featuring Georgia Pacific products, LSU merchandise, gifts and hotel stays.
