East Baton Rouge Parish 4-H’er and Zachary native Alexis Genola competed in the Southeast Area Cookery held May 3 at the Southeast Louisiana University Student Union in Hammond.

This annual competition brought together 4-H’ers from East Baton Rouge, Livingston, St. Helena, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington Parishes in order to display their cooking skills for beef, egg, poultry and seafood.

Genola placed second for her Cajun Crawfish Cornbread in the Seafood-Crawfish category and also received a blue ribbon in Egg-Dessert for her delicious pound cake!

Congratulations, Alexis, on your amazing accomplishments!
