The Baker Police Department is looking for a suspect involved in a drive-by shooting that occurred Tuesday, May 29, in the Sherron Street area of Baker, said Police Chief Mike Knaps.

Greg Anthony Morris Jr., 18, of 11304 Cypress Glen Ave. in Baton Rouge, is wanted on three counts of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault by drive-by shooting, illegal use of a firearm and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, said Baker Police Chief Mike "Snapper" Knaps.

Knaps said Morris is believed to be armed and should be considered dangerous.

On Tuesday, Baker Police investigated a shooting in the Sherron Street area of Baker, and learned that three individuals had been targeted by Morris, Knaps said.

Detectives learned from the victims and an eyewitness on the scene that Morris has been waiting in ambush for them and that he shot at them from inside a vehicle where several juveniles were present, said Knaps.

Knaps said the officers later learned that one of the juveniles in the car was a willing participant in the shooting.

The juvenile, whose name could not be released because of his age, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Juvenile Detention Center as a principal to attempted first-degree murder.

Police warn that Morris is believed to be armed and should be considered dangerous.

Anyone with any information on Morris, his whereabouts or this incident, should contact the Baker Police Department at once by calling (225) 775-6000 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at (225) 344-7867.
