This year, the games were played March 24 at Parkview Baptist and on March 31 at Zachary Youth Park.
On behalf of the Real Men Wear Pink committee, coordinator Stacey Hodges thanks the Zachary Community School System, Lane Regional Medical Center, the Bank of Zachary and the Zachary community for their contributions and for supporting the Susan G. Komen Foundation, an organization fighting to cure breast cancer at every stage.
Fans and supporters of this year's games purchased t-shirts, pastalaya plates, snowballs and sweets - all money raised was donated to the cause.
In addition, several Zachary businesses also participated by donating money to wear pink in support of the event on March 30.
Special thanks is given to LeBlanc's for donating pastalaya supplies, Tucker's SnoBalls for donating their proceeds from snowball sales and to the Bronco Baseball parents for all their hard work and participation at the RMWP event.
Those who attended the donation included: Randy Olson/CEO of Lane RMC; Mary White, RN/Lane RMC; Jesse Cassard/ZHS head baseball coach; Tonya Dixon/Development Manager of Susan G. Komen Foundation; Stacey Hodges/RMWP coordinator; and Jeree Chaney/Bank of Zachary.
Overall, the Real Men Wear Pink games have donated over $21,000 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Cassard noted.
