Steve Robichaux, of Capital City Consultants, was last week's dynamic speaker for Leadership NORTH's fifth session. Members of the 2012 Leadership NORTH class worked in teams while learning workplace leadership skills and conflict resolution. Leadership NORTH participants live or work in Baton Rouge, Zachary, Central, Baker, Pointe Coupee or East and West Feliciana and have the full support of the organization or business they represent. Steve Robichaux, of Capital City Consultants in Baton Rouge, was the guest speaker last Thursday, June 21, for Leadership NORTH's fifth session.

Robichaux, who is a black belt in karate, has trained with and taught the Karate Club at LSU, including the football program under former LSU Head Coach Nick Saban.

The focus of last week's leadership session was about working together.

Robichaux was recruited to share his expertise on conflict resolution, leadership, problem solving and team building.

Robichaux also works with companies, groups, organizations and individuals on dealing with stereotypes, discipline, making meetings work, motivation, Myers Briggs, organizational behavior, presentation skills, self-defense, stress management, time management and other areas in the workplace or areas affecting an individual's personal growth.

Robichaux is a member of LSU Kiwanis, a faculty advisor at LSU, acts as a host family for Japanese exchange students and is the La. Chairman of USA Karate Federation.

Leadership NORTH is an annual leadership development program for the north Baton Rouge region hosted by the Zachary Chamber of Commerce with assistance from the Louisiana Department of Economic Development and the LSU AgCenter.
