Kelsey Brumley of Zachary has earned academic honors at Purdue University for the spring 2012 semester.

Brumley, a 2010 Zachary High School graduate, is the daughter of Kenny and Corki Brumley of Zachary. She is also the niece of Kathi Brumley, Secretary to Zachary Mayor David Amrhein.

The Purdue University student is majoring in English while pursuing a minor in Mass Communications.

Brumley says she is proud of her accomplishments over the past year.

To earn honors, students must have had at least a 3.5 semester or cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
