MONROE – Services for retired UL-Monroe biology department professor Dr. Elton Barrett will be Friday. He died Aug. 14 at age 79.
After retiring from teaching, he was a plant consultant to farmers. He served as president of the La. Agricultural Consultants Assn. and Southern Soybean Disease Workers Assn.
Survivors include his wife Avis and two daughters.
Arrangements are by Mulhearn.
