Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole, a three-time Grammy award-winning American evangelist and gospel singer, was in Baton Rouge to speak at the Louisiana Regional Singers & Musicians Conference Aug. 10-11.

Also a member of the world renowned Clark Sisters, Dr. Cole won three Grammys in 2008 while singing with the Clark Sisters, Jacky, Twinkie, Dorinda and Karen (sister Denise left the group in the mid 80s. The group has spent the last three decades singing, preaching, evangelizing and teaching the word of God across the country and abroad.

Dr. Cole and her sister, Jacky Clark Chisholm, visited their good friend, Terry Lundy, owner/operator of The Chocolate Cafe recently.

Several radio stations broadcast live from The Chocolate Cafe, 5465 Main St., while Clark-Cole and her sister posed for photographs with fans and signed autographs and CDs.

Lundy and The Chocolate Cafe serve the best in imported Belgian chocolates, brownies and coffees.

"Singing gospel music is a gift that should be nurtured," said Dr. Cole.
