More sand will be available this morning at Zachary Youth Park, 1650 E. Mt. Pleasant Zachary Rd. (Hwy. 64) for Zachary residents.

The ZIPS - Zachary Information Public Service - hotline at 658-2525 has been established for residents to call for more information on sandbags.

To receive your sandbags, you MUST show proof of Zachary residency or a local driver's license.

Sandbags are limited to five (5) bags per door of residence.

On Monday, Aug. 27, players from the Zachary High School Bronco baseball team volunteered to fill sandbags at Zachary Youth Park.

More volunteers from the Zachary community will be assisting residents Tuesday, but in some cases you will be responsible for filling your own sandbags.
