WAFB political analyst Jim Engster has predicted Mayor Kip Holden has won his re-election bid.

Challenger Mike Walker has conceded the election.

CNN has projected that Barack Obama has won the presidential election over Mitt Romney.

However, Romney is the favorite in Louisiana and many southern states.
