The Baker Police Department Narcotics Division, East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division and agents from the Delta Narcotics Task Force (EBRSO, Baker PD and West Feliciana Sheriff's Office) conducted an investigation Wednesday that led to the arrests of three family members, said Police Chief Mike "Snapper" Knaps.

The three suspects arrested were John “Wu” McKneely, 36; Keirsten Alexander McKneely, 33; and Tiawanga McKneely, 34, all of 5701 Groom Rd. in Baker, Knaps said.

John and Keirsten are husband and wife, while John and Tiawanga are brother and sister.

The Delta task force agents were conducting undercover surveillance at a hotel in the Harding Blvd. area of Baton Rouge near the airport, when they observed John McKneely’s vehicle pull into the parking lot about 4:15 a.m., Knaps said.

Undercover agents stopped McKneely, citing him with a traffic violation. As agents were issuing the violation, they found 252 doses of hydrocodone, 104 doses of roxicodone and $411.

Upon further investigation of McKneely's hotel room, the agents discovered more cash and pills. About  $32,176 was found and 267 additional tablets of hydrocodone and 33 tablets of carisoprodol (Soma), a muscle relaxer.

John, Keirsten and Tiawanga McKneely were all booked into EBRSO Parish Prison and charged with illegal possession with intent to distribute drugs, said Knaps.

During booking, John McKneely listed his address as 690 Blount Road in Baton Rouge; Kiersten McKneely gave a 6748 Pine Island Ave., Baton Rouge address; and Tiawanga McKneely listed Sacramento, Calif., as her address.
