Last week, Baker Police arrested a 16-year-old male in connection with four residential burglaries, said Baker Police Chief Mike Knaps.

After learning the teen was seen wearing clothing stolen from a Nov. 30 residential burglary on Buchanan Street, detectives went to 906 Sinbad St. where the juvenile lives, Knaps said.

During a search of his home, detectives found stolen clothing, a large assortment of stolen electronics and jewelry, which was linked to three additional burglaries in the Baker area, said Knaps.

The juvenile's 37-year-old mother, Deborah Walker, and his 19-year-old sister, Dominik Walker, were also arrested after detectives learned that they had knowledge of the suspect's criminal activity and that he was in possession of the stolen items, Knaps said.

The juvenile, whose name and photo cannot be released due to his age, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Juvenile Detention Center on charges of four counts of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, two counts of simple criminal damage to property and illegal possession of stolen things, said Chief Knaps.

Deborah and Dominik Walker were both booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of illegal possession of stolen things and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, but later posted bail.

On Dec. 6, Baker detectives were informed by one of the burglary victims that threatening retaliatory messages were posted on Dominik Walker's Facebook page, Knaps said.

Baker detectives investigated the matter and found that she had in fact made the threats.

Dominik Walker was re-arrested and booked for obstruction of justice.
