When Zachary golfer Jonathan Davis signed his letter of intent on Nov. 30 to play for the Milligan Buffaloes out of Nashville, Head Golf Coach Tony Wallingford joked that Milligan would try his best to harness Davis's energy and athleticism into only one sport.

The ZHS senior, who has been playing golf since the age of 7, not only excels at golf but also as a member of the Bronco soccer, track and cross country teams.

At the conclusion of his senior year, he will have an amazing 15 varsity letters. Davis has earned an All-Baton Rouge Metro honor in Cross Country, all-district in soccer and is a regional qualifier in two different events in track.

"We have had to negotiate his practice times and agree to share him," Head Golf Coach Clark Engemann joked about sharing Davis with Head Track Coach Chris Carrier.

Davis begins his senior golf season with the Broncos in February.

"It's great to see our athletes compete at the next level," said Engemann. "But if you don't take advantage of what's going in the classroom, then you don't get to be where Jonathan is at today. Academics plays a huge part in your overall success."

"We are very excited to have Jonathan join us at Milligan," said Coach Wallingford. "With his major athletic focus soon turning to golf, I'm confident he will have the opportunity to be outstanding. And, not only does he excel in athletics, but he is a high character young man with exceptional grades."

Davis, a member of the National Honor Society, plans to major in applied finance and accounting.

He is the son of John and Katherine Davis of Zachary.
