The Louisiana National Guard is supporting Acadia and Avoyelles Parishes with immediate flood operations by providing high-water military vehicles to assist local agencies in their efforts of checking on residents in flooded areas, Jan. 10.

Local Soldiers and vehicles from the 225th Engineer Brigade in Marksville, La., and the 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team in Crowley, La., are currently conducting operations in the affected areas. Other units across the state are on standby as needed.
