The Northwestern Middle School cast of Beauty and the Beast Jr. - a middle school version of Disney's beloved classic - is hard at work perfecting their craft for upcoming performances.

The musical production is set to take to the stage in the NMS auditorium beginning Wednesday, Jan. 23, and the show runs through Friday, Jan. 25.

The three nightly performances will be held for the Zachary community beginning at 7 p.m. Doors will open for seating at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets went on sale Wednesday in the school's front office.

Tickets are $7 in advance, and remaining tickets will be sold at the door each performance night for $10 each.

Director Paula Swilley says she knows her students will be wonderful and urges the community to get tickets early, since the musical is expected to sell out.
