Nominations sought for Baker Citizen of the Year

The Baker Inter-Club Council is accepting nominations for the 2012 Citizen of the Year award.

Nominees must reside in the Baker city limits or an unincorporated area in East Baton Rouge Parish.

Nominees must have provided unselfish time and talents without compensation that improves the quality of life for Baker citizens and that does not fall within the scope of job duties.

The time period under consideration is limited to Jan. 1-Dec. 31, 1212.


Mail nominations to P.O. Box 30, Baker, LA 70704-0030 or deliver nominations to 3121 Van Buren St., Suite A, Baker, by 5 p.m., Monday, March 11.

Voting by member clubs will be held at 6:30 p.m., Monday, March 11, in the Baker City Council chamber in City Hall.

Clubs and organizations interested in joining the Inter-Club Council should contact President Doris Alexander at 778-0141.
