On Wednesday, Feb. 6, National Signing Day, Zachary High School signed three Senior Bronco football players.

Head Football Coach Neil Weiner said it's always a great day when kids can sign on to play ball at the next level.

"These three young men are blessed with exceptional athletic ability and their character is outstanding," Weiner said.

Signees included Chris Taylor, 18, an offensive guard/defensive tackle,  will play college ball for Tulane University in New Orleans.

Donald Gage, 17, who came from Redemptorist as a junior, played just one year with the Broncos. Gage is a slot receiver who signed with the University of Houston.

Darryl Garner, 18, an outside linebacker, has signed with Mississippi College.

All three thanked their families, coaches and teammates.

For much more on Gage, Garner and Taylor, be sure to pick up the Feb. 13 edition of the Zachary Plainsman-News.
