Breaux Bridge woman arrested for insurance fraud

Breaux Bridge — Acting on a complaint from Aflac Insurance Company, detectives with the Louisiana State Police Insurance Fraud Unit launched an investigate and determined that from March 29 until October 13, 2006, the company was defrauded of $43,304.63. Detectives allege Mary L. Leblanc of Breaux Bridge fabricated numerous physician invoices for radiation and oral chemotherapy treatments which she never received.

Based on the facts revealed in the investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Mary Leblanc. Leblanc voluntarily surrendered herself to detectives at the St. Martin Parish Jail where she was booked on suspicion of fraud.
