The Lady Blue Jays scored four runs in the fifth inning to put the game out of reach of the visitors, who could touch St. Edmund pitcher Leah Andrus for only three hits, one of them a bunt single.
Meanwhile, Molly Brown was providing plenty of firepower for St. Edmund, driving in a run in the first, two in the third and one in the fourth innings to pace the home team's offense.
St. Edmund next plays the winner of Cedar Creek-Crescent City, who were playing later Tuesday. That game will most likely be Friday.
