A one-vehicle crash resulted in the death of two people Sunday.

The crash occurred about 2:20 a.m. Sunday on LA 15 (milepost 119.5) just west of Archibald in Richland Parish. A 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling south when the driver lost control of the vehicle and ran off the road, according to a spokesman for the Louisiana State Police.

The Tahoe rolled over several times and ejected the driver and his occupant. The driver, identified as 23-yearold Joshua G. Thompson from Winnsboro, was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries he sustained in the crash. The passenger, identified as 29-year-old Landon W. Abbitt from Winnsboro, was also pronounced dead at the scene. Neither occupant was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Alcohol use is suspected to be a factor and toxicology tests are pending, according to a spokesman for Louisiana State Police Troop F.
