Allan and Gwen Habetz of Crowley are pleased to announce the engagement and forth coming marriage of their daughter Ann Louise to Michael Steven Van Wagener, both of Houston, Texas.

The couple will wed during a 1 p.m. ceremony on October 4, 2008 to be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. The holy sacrament of marriage will be officiated by Father Gary Schexnayder.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Henry and Leona Cramer Habetz of Crowley and the late Murray and Viola “Sis” Harmon Traux of Egan.

Ann is a 2000 graduate of Notre Dame High School and a 2004 graduate of the Louisiana State University with a bachelor of science in family child and consumer sciences with a concentration in human services management. In 2006, she also graduated from Louisiana State University with a master’s in business administration. Miss Habetz is currently employed as the assistant vice-president at Compass Bank in the Energy Banking.

The groom-elect is the son of Steven and Holly Strelau Van Wagener of Southaven, Mississippi. He is the grandson of Sophia Chulak Strelau of Jupiter, Florida and the late John Gustav Strelau, and the late Virgil and Denise Davis Van Wagener.

Michael is a 1997 graduate of S.S. Murphy High School in Mobile, Alabama and a 2001 graduate of the University of Alabama with a bachelor of science in chemical engineering. He then went on to pursue his master’s in business administration from Louisiana State University which he earned in 2005. Mr. Van Wagener is currently employed as a consultant with Grant Thorton in Houston.

Following the exchanging of their wedding vows, the newly wedded couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
