The engagement of Miss Shelly Anne Arnaud to Mr. Matthew Blake Brown, the son of Blake Louis Brown and Madonna Kay Brown of Eunice, has been announced by her parents, Arthur Wayne Arnaud and Paula Ann Arnaud of Mamou.

The couple will exchange wedding vows Friday, December 12, 2008, during a 6 p.m. ceremony at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Eunice.

Miss Arnaud, whose mother is the former Paula Berzas of Mamou, is the granddaughter of Nathan and Alida Bazar and Doris and Irona Arnaud.

A graduate of Mamou High School, she attended LSUE and is currently attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and employed with Louisiana Granite and Natural Stone in Lafayette.

Mr. Brown’s mother is the former Madonna Miller of Eunice. He is the grandson of Bailey and Jeanette Miller and Lynn and Eddie J. Brown Jr.

He received his GED and is currently employed with Halliburton.
