Farmers elected to the Committee in Evangeline Parish were: Blyn Rozas, three-year term on county committee; Greg Tate, three-year term as first alternate in LAA-1; and Hurley Mose Jr., three-year term as second alternate in LAA-1.
“FSA County Committees are charged with the local administration of national farm programs which includes commodity price support loans and payments; conservation programs; incentive, indemnity and disaster payments for some commodities; and emergency programs,” Tortorich said.
An organizational meeting to elect the chairperson and vice-chairperson will be conducted at the first county committee meeting in January 2009.
