Members of the Jean Lafitte Pirates RV Club that enjoyed a weekend campout in Lake Charles were Sonny and Hershal Abshire, Phyliss Alexander, Wilbert and Ida Broussard, C.S. and Laudry Darbonne, Lander and Wilmae Duhon, Fredman and Ethel Theriot, Kenneth and Bertha Broussard, and Cheris and Gene Trahan.

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin David Duhon (Roxie Anna Buller) celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in Jasper, Texas.

Kari Leger, Amy Chapman and Katrina Rizzuto all scored in double figures to lead the Lake Arthur Lady Tigers to a 47-41 win over the Kinder Lady Yellow Jackets.

The Kinder Yellow Jackets upset the Lake Arthur Tigers by a score of 69-62 in district play, as Kobi Turner led the Tigers with 23 points.

Paula Gnau was the guest speaker at the American Cancer Society New Hope Support Meeting held at 4:00 p.m. in Lake Arthur.

Rachelle Marie LeBlanc of Lake Arthur and Randy Lee LeBlanc of Welsh were announcing plans for their engagement and approaching marriage.

The Lake Arthur Tigers beat the Loreauville Tigers by a score of 52-49 on the road as Gary Jones and Patrick Robinson each scored in double digits.

Heidi Fontenot and Keka Daniels led the Lake Arthur Lady Tigers to a 50-22 win over Loreauville on the road.
