Cecilia – Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 2, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, for Jessie “Jake” Guidry, 75, who passed away on Friday, Jan. 30, 2009 at University Medical Center.

Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Survivors include his daughters, Jessica Guidry and Deborah Guidry both of Cecilia; his brother, Amilcar “Meket” Guidry Jr. of Cecilia; his sisters Paula Guidry Calais of Cecilia and Julie Guidry of Youngsville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Thomassee Guidry; his son, Blaine Guidry; his brothers, Paul, Wilton and Allenton Guidry.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia was in charge of arrangements.
