On the ballot are two renewal propositions, the first being the renewal of a 2.12 mills, 10 year tax benefiting the Parish’s Cooperative Extension Service building and the Parish’s Multi-purpose Building and Arena, and the second being another 2.12 mills, 10 year tax, benefiting public health activities and the public health units of Acadia Parish. Also on the ballot are the offices of Public Service Commissioner and Church Point Alderman.
Just a reminder to voters, proper identification is required during early voting. Please bring the following with you when you come in: current Louisiana driver’s license or current Louisiana identification card and voter identification card.
Voters who require assistance during early voting or when they go to their voting precinct on Election day are required to bring a physician’s certificate or excuse stating the reason they need assistance. This document is to be given to the registrar or to the commissioner in charge to be delivered to the registrar.
