Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21, 2009 at a 10:00

a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Erita Romero, 99, who died Friday, February 20, 2009 at Eastridge Nursing Center.

She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend William C. Blanda officiating the services.

She is survived by her care takers, Curvis Derouen and deceased godchild, Rella Boutte Derouen; 13 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Molias Badeaux and Adrisca Hollier Badeaux; brothers, Rene Bourque and Dunice Bourque, sisters, Inez B. Romero, Agnes B. Comeaux, Rena B. Boutte, Marie B. Gary and Hazel B. Menard .

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Saturday, February 21, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.Friday, February 20, 2009 with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. and will resume at 8:00 a.m. Saturday February 21, 2009 until service time

Jimmie Hebert

Memorial services are pending for Jimmie Lane Hebert. Mr. Hebert, 57, who passed away on Friday, February 20, 2009.

Mr. Hebert was a member of the first graduating class in computer science from the University of Houston in 1977. The majority of his career he worked in the petroleum industry in Houston, Texas. Prior to that he spent some time with NASA programming the robotic arm on the space shuttle.

He is survived by his daughter Jenny Lynn Hebert of Savannah, Georgia; his parents, Lovelace J. Hebert Sr. and Gertrude White Hebert of Abbeville, Louisiana; one nephew, Johnny L. Hebert and his wife Laura of Hull, Texas; one niece Windy W. Matherne and her husband Mike; one great-nephew and four great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lovelace J. Hebert Jr. of Dayton, Texas and Matthew Mark Hebert of Houston, Texas; his maternal grandparents, Pinkard White Sr. and Gertrude Borel; and paternal grandparents, Honora Hebert Sr. and Eulalie Bourque.
