Crowley Police Chief K.P. Gibson speaks to members of the broadcast media for a Crime Stoppers episode regarding the murder of Eric Beverly last Friday night. According to Gibson, his detectives have been spread out obtaining several leads and are hoping for a break in the case soon.
Crowley Police are investigating the Friday, March 6th shooting death of Eric Beverly of Crowley. Shortly after 10:00 p.m., Beverly returned to his residence in the 400 block of North Avenue E and was approached by an assailant. While in the front yard, Beverly was shot multiple times in the upper torso area of his body. The assailant fled in a westerly direction. Beverly was unable to identify the suspect as officers arrived on the scene. Beverly died Sunday morning as a result of his injuries.
