LAFAYETTE, LA - Join the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra for “Gershwin Spectacular” on Saturday, March 18, 2009 at Lafayette’s Heymann Performing Arts Center. This celebration features the music of American composer and pianist George Gershwin.

Guest artist Dustin Gledhill, an International Prize Winning Pianist who has been performing with Symphony Orchestras since the age of 7, is the 2006 New Orleans Piano Competition winner. Patrons will also be delighted by the vocal talents of Katia Escalera, award winning Bolivian operatic soprano. Escalera is also one of the guest artists that will be featured in the upcoming opera, “The Marriage of Figaro”, later this month.
